Ayoka

Ayoka is the first design I created for the Giraf'Pop collection, and the name tells you everything you need to know about it.

Ayoka means The One Who Brings Joy in the Yoruba language of West Africa — the land where the giraffe reigns. When I began painting this sculpture, I wanted every brushstroke to carry that intention. The bold geometric patterns, the swirling organic forms, the hearts and spirals that travel across the body — they speak of color, of rhythm, of life in full bloom. Joy, made visible.

The palette moves through the full spectrum: warm golden orange at the base, exploding into turquoise, cobalt blue, lime green, fuchsia, ruby red, and violet. Each panel of color is outlined in bold black, in the tradition of my pop art style, giving the sculpture the energy of stained glass brought to life.

Look closely and you will find hearts. A small blue circle at the crown. A playful curl of orange flame at the chest. These are not accidents — they are the details that make each Giraf'Pop a conversation piece, a companion, a joy to live with.
